This folder may not exist on more recent macOS builds, or with more recent installations of the Wacom software. Open that folder, if it exists, and delete any Wacom files that are found there. If your Wacom tablet has been installed for some time, over previous macOS builds, return to the library folder and scroll down the list looking for a folder called " Tablet".If this should occur then restart the Mac in Safe-Mode and repeat from step 4 above, note that in Safe-Mode your mouse commands and keyboard entries will appear "laggy" this is normal for Safe-Mode working, please be patient while repeating steps 4 though 9 in Safe-Mode. If you see the message "unable to delete the file x.x because the file is in use" this means its service is still running. Note: You can only delete these files if the associated services were successfully stopped previously in Activity monitor. In the folder " PrivilegedHelperTools" delete the following files only:, &. Once all three processes have been halted close Activity Monitor and on the desktop ribbon-menu click Go > Computer > Macintosh HD > Library > PrivilegedHelperTools. If the processes will not stop after five minutes try repeating again. Scroll down the list of running processes and look for the following entries, select each in turn and click the " X" in the Activity Monitor window header, then from the pop-up context menu click " Force Quit",, ,, these processes may take a while to stop, up to five minutes, please be patient. In Activity Monitor click the " CPU" button in the window header, then click the column header " Process Name" twice.Return to the Applications folder and go to Utilities > Activity Monitor, open " Activity Monitor".After the Mac restarts go to the Applications folder and drag the Wacom folder to the Bin then empty the bin.Leave the tablet disconnected/powered off and restart the Mac.Disconnect the tablet if USB hard-wired linked, or switch off the tablet power if WiFi/Bluetooth linked until step10.It never even dawned on me until found the tip in the FAQ's.If lllaass suggestion to Safe-Boot the Mac does not resolve the problem try these steps in order. I had the erratic behavior and it was my mouse too close. If you use a mouse when you aren't using the pen, I'm sure you know this but I'll toss it in anyway, keep the mouse away from the tablet. I honestly don't think this is a conflict with 10.3 on your partition if the pen worked as it should before with the partition in place.

My tablet worked fine when I installed it into OS 10.2.7 or 8 but when I restarted it didn't work anymore. check out the Wacom site for information on that.Īlso, I found this in the Wacom Knowledge Base: Since you've tried all the troubleshooting tips, maybe the "nib" is worn out. I saw an older discussion about similar problems and wondered if anyone figured anything out. Shouldn't I have to redo my preferences after uninstalling and deleting preferences? Also, I still have the older version on another partition of my drive that still has 10.3, but that shouldn't interfere? Nothing helps.Īfter deleting everything "Wacom," the tablet is still holding most of my old preference settings. I've deleted various files per suggestions on Wacom's Web site. I followed the suggestion from Wacom's e-mail technical support - basically uninstall, run permissions, and reinstall. I've since updated to OS 10.4.11 but that didn't help (although everything else seems to run better). So I updated to the most recent driver which didn't help and now I've lost the pen entirely from system preferences. The mouse double-clicks everything when I don't want it to. I've been on 10.4.10 for awhile and then things started going flaky with the mouse, possibly after an adobe update. My Wacom Intuos3 mouse/pen worked flawlessly on 10.3.
